Bible Text: |

The famous poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas" features this iconic lyric:  "...the children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads."  In Matthew 1-2, the Bible talks about five supernatural dreams that God revealed to several important characters who were associated with Jesus' birth.  In Matthew 2, a second dream was revealed-- but unlike the first which was to Joseph-- this second dream was revealed to Gentile wise men who came from afar to worship Jesus.  As we study this dramatic text, what were three different responses to Jesus' arrival?  How did a supernatural dream become part of this ordeal?  What valuable truths can we extract from this scene for our lives today?  ~Christmas Dreams, part 2
