King Solomon was the wisest, richest, most renowned king that this world has ever known. Eventually, the LORD used him to write and assemble the book of Proverbs-- one of the Bible's great pieces of wisdom literature. But Solomon's greatness can be traced back to a critical event in 1 Kings 3 that re-shaped his outlook, life, and kingship: the night he asked the LORD for wisdom.
