The doctrine of justification (how sinners are made right with God) was the central issue of the Protestant Reformation.  Still today, justification by faith alone is a divisive issue separating Roman Catholics and evangelicals– as it is also the dividing line between the true, biblical gospel and all other false-gospels based on works.  When we affirm “Sola Fide” (faith alone), what are we saying exactly about how sinners are made right with God?  Is it by religion—good works– sacraments– or doing our part to cooperate with grace?   ~500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation
