There is one sentence that sends Dads into panic-mode: “But Dad, YOU PROMISED!” It is a sad truth that human beings are not very good at keeping the promises they made. In Galatians chapter three, Paul helps the Galatians understand that salvation is by “faith alone” by pointing them back to God’s unchangeable promise given to Abraham. Since God keeps his promise, then salvation can’t possibly come by law-keeping or human efforts. As we study this text, how can we be sure that God’s promise of salvation by faith alone to Abraham isn’t overturned by the Old Testament laws that came later? What can Christians today learn and apply from this amazing text? –Galatians, Part 9
